Man suspected of conspiring with two policemen to stage robbery arrested
One of two men who police investigators believe conspired with two of their colleagues to stage a recent robbery in St Catherine has been taken into custody.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) says Robert Forrest, otherwise called Buck Major, was picked up by the police yesterday.

Forrest’s arrest came shortly after he, along with Evan Powell, otherwise called Mansaw, were listed as persons of interest by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.

The two policemen, a corporal and a constable, are already in custody facing several charges.

The Gleaner-Power 106 News Centre understands that one of the policeman has already been interviewed, while the other is to be interviewed and placed before an identification parade shortly.

The CCN has not given details on why Powell and Forrest are being sought, saying only that detectives believe they can assist with a matter currently under investigation.
