Ebola scare in Trinidad
Health officials in Trinidad and Tobago say a Nigerian national who was hospitalised there yesterday does not have the deadly Ebola virus.

Instead the health ministry says the Nigerian student is suspected of having malaria fever and is being treated at the Port of Spain General Hospital.

It’s reported that the Nigerian complained of fever and was vomiting while he was being examined at the St James Medical Complex.

The health ministry says checks later revealed that the student had not travelled outside his homeland for more than a year before arriving in Trinidad and Tobago earlier this month.

It also sought to make it clear that there were no suspected case of Ebola in the twin island republic.
